RealCold optimizes cold chain services

Jan. 23, 2025
National temperature-controlled solutions provider plans to deploy Blue Yonder Warehouse Management to meet evolving market requirements and support long-term growth.

While traditional supply chains face many challenges, cold chain operators are met with even more complex challenges. When managing goods that are time and temperature sensitive, speed, efficiency, and accuracy are essential to ensure the safety and quality of inventory. In an effort to address this, cold chain services provider RealCold plans to deploy Blue Yonder Warehouse Management to digitally transform its warehouse operations to meet the needs of its customers and the cold chain sector.

The project will be implemented by Netlogistik, a Blue Yonder partner, the companies reported.

“Our customers have a wide range of storage, distribution, and fulfillment requirements, from high-volume case pick to direct-to-consumer delivery,” RealCold CEO Keith Goldsmith said in a news release. “Blue Yonder’s end-to-end warehouse management solution enables us to effectively manage diverse operations while seamlessly integrating with our existing technology and infrastructure, ensuring our clients receive the best possible service and outcomes.”

Founded in 2022, RealCold was established to address the shifting trends and unique needs of food processors, retailers, and the foodservice industry. By leveraging a rapidly growing national network of high-throughput facilities, customer-centric solutions, and a wide range of value-added services, RealCold has become a leading domestic cold chain provider. The company currently operates five facilities in high-consumption markets across the U.S. and plans to open two additional cold storage facilities in early 2025 in Florida and Texas, with another location in New Jersey scheduled for occupancy in Q1 2026.

To support this growth, RealCold sought a scalable and resilient SaaS solution that is configurable to handle the varied complexity of operational warehouse requirements across its core customer segments. The company selected Blue Yonder based on its cold chain experience and end-to-end software solutions.

“Blue Yonder Warehouse Management offers RealCold the flexibility to rapidly scale and adapt their operations to meet constantly changing demands,” said Nafe Hagen, Blue Yonder general manager for global logistics service providers and edge technologies. “We’re excited to team up with Netlogistik to help RealCold achieve profitable growth and provide their customers with a competitive advantage.”

With the Blue Yonder solution supported by Netlogistik, RealCold will be able to:

  • Achieve faster start-up times for new customer operations through accelerated onboarding and streamlined system integrations.
  • Provide visibility into end-to-end warehouse processes to increase accuracy, efficiency and customer service levels.
  • Leverage intelligent insights gleaned from robust data analysis to improve productivity and performance.
  • Support diverse and evolving requirements through expansive configuration settings and customizable workflows.

“With our extensive experience in 3PL and Blue Yonder implementations, Netlogistik is excited to support RealCold in scaling their operations to meet dynamic cold chain demands,” said Jagan Reddy, Netlogistik managing partner.
